November 5, 2020 – On November 5, Novalait brought together nearly a hundred participants at its Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, a record attendance for its first virtual edition. Industrialists and dairy producers, as well as partners and researchers, were able to appreciate Novalait’s achievements. Mr.. Michel Couture, President of Novalait, underlined the boldness of the company’s founders:
As far-sighted as 1995, Quebec’s dairy producers and processors set themselves apart by investing in a unique organization to develop the knowledge and expertise required by an innovative dairy industry.

Two new members have been elected to the Novalait Board of Directors. Congratulations to Chantal Fleury, Deputy Director of Economic Research at Producteurs de lait du Québec, and Jean-Marc Bertrand, Danone’s Supply Manager and CILQ representative. The other directors are Yvan Bastien, Director of Producteurs de lait du Québec, Charles Langlois, CEO of the Conseil des industriels laitiers du Québec, and Simon Robert, Director of Cooperation at Agropur coopérative laitière. Michel Couture, President of Novalait, is also a director of Agropur coopérative laitière.
For fiscal 2019-2020, commitments by Novalait and its partners to the 19 projects and 4 research chairs in progress total $12.5 million, including $4 million for new projects. Since its creation in 1995, Novalait and its partners have invested $54.9 million. A brief review of the impacts and impact of Novalait’s 25 years of activity was presented.
