Techno Forum: A Look Back at the 2025 Edition… While Waiting for 2027!

On June 10, 2025, the Techno Forum was held at Mouton Village in collaboration with CILQ. Over 100 participants attended a day filled with applied research presentations, a roundtable on coproduct valorization, and a science communication contest highlighting the next generation of students. The event also celebrated Novalait’s 30th anniversary.

Highlights

The Techno Forum was marked by in-depth discussions on research trends in the dairy sector, featuring presentations by researchers supported by Novalait. Topics included workforce recruitment and training challenges, the development of new technologies for lactose transformation, the valorization of dairy co-products, milk quality improvement, and the application of bacteriocins. The event also celebrated Novalait’s 30th anniversary, highlighting its role as a catalyst for collaboration between research and the dairy industry, and emphasizing the importance of working together to address current and future industry challenges.

The Forum also showcased the importance of the next generation of scientists through a science communication competition, where ten students presented their complex research in a clear and accessible way. Both oral and poster presentations were well received, and the audience voted for their favorites, awarding Myriam Landry and Vahideh Vahdatmanesh from Université Laval. The event demonstrated Novalait’s commitment to making science more accessible and supporting future talent in dairy research.

Your feedback is important to us!

I’ve been working in the dairy processing industry for over 30 years. The panelists and Novalait researchers are truly passionate about their work, and they manage to convey that passion—even when the topics are a bit more technical.
