One of the key components of Novalait’s mission is to contribute, through research funding, to the training of qualified future leaders for Quebec’s dairy sector. This mission is fully realized through transformative projects such as the creation of Chairs in Educational Leadership (CLE).
Among them, the CLE in Cheese Technology, led by Professor Julien Chamberland of the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences (FSAA) at Université Laval, is a direct result of investments by Novalait and its shareholders. It enables the training of highly qualified specialists in dairy processing, in response to the concrete needs of the cheese industry.
This chair was recently honoured during the unveiling of the FSAA’s CLE Wall of Honour, a tribute to fieldwork, scientific excellence, and a commitment to the next generation of scientists and professionals.
Novalait is also proud to support other chairholders, such as Professor Sébastien Fournel, whose CLE in sustainable agricultural buildings explores concrete solutions to improve the sustainability and efficiency of dairy farms.
Training the next generation also means building today the expertise our sector will need tomorrow.
