Caroline Halde

Caroline Halde has been a professor of ecological agriculture at Laval University since 2015. She grew up on an organic dairy farm  in Montérégie, Quebec. She completed a bachelor’s degree in agronomy at Laval University, a master’s degree in pasture management in Nova Scotia and a Ph.D. in organic farming in Manitoba. She completed postdoctoral studies in agroecology at Cornell University. Dr. Halde’s research interests are multidisciplinary and include agronomy, soil health, weed ecology and international cooperation. She works, among other things, on the management of organic and forage crops. She trained the Laboratory of Agroecology at Université Laval in 2015.
