Ph.D.Sciences animales, FSAA, Université LavalGraduated in biochemistry from the Université de Sherbrooke, he then completed his graduate studies in animal sciences at Université Laval. His master’s work on the selection of biomarkers associated with back fat thickness in pigs was conducted at the Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada Center for Dairy and Pork Research and Development in Lennoxville. His doctoral work focused on the study of the transcriptome of the bovine oocyte. He completed his post-doctoral internship at the University of Guelph on bovine embryonic development. His research program is now focused on various aspects of genomics (DNA, transcriptomic, epigenetic polymorphisms) applied to projects to advance knowledge in the field of reproductive biology as well as more applied projects to improve cow fertility and other projects related to the pigmeat quality.
